Greetings from under the oak tree

Hello and welcome to my blog.

I created this space to share my experiences and reflections as a Druid in training. My name is Dònnag MacSàinteis, and I live in the Southern Hemisphere. This, in itself, has become an important part of my journey, learning to listen to the land where I stand.

I am a vegetarian and a neopagan, with a deep interest in astrology and nature-based spirituality. For me, this path is about building a relationship with the Earth and her cycles, not only as abstract ideas, but as something lived, felt, and observed in everyday life. Especially in times when the natural rhythm of the seasons can feel uncertain or disrupted, I find myself returning to this connection as a source of grounding.

This blog is a personal archive of that journey. There is no strict schedule here, no pressure to write weekly or monthly, only the intention to share honestly, as things unfold. I hope it can also become a shared space: somewhere we can reflect, learn, and find inspiration together, rooted in something steady and real.

I am currently part of the Bardic grade of the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids, where I continue to deepen my studies. I also host a podcast on Spotify, Sturdy Oak, where I explore seasonal shifts, spiritual perspectives, and the evolving ways we understand and relate to the living Earth—including how modern narratives, such as Avatar, reinterpret older, more intuitive ways of seeing the world.

Yours from under the branches of the mighty oak tree

Dònnag MacSàinteis
